Bangkok: Must Eat
Jesus. Where to begin. It hurts my brain to even think about the hundreds of incredible food places in Bangkok. But alas, here we go:
Street eats:
Watthana Panich for beef soup that’s been cooking for decades (yep)
ICONSiam, which I know, is a mall, but the bottom level street food hawker center is fire and air conditioned, so fight me.
Nah Ek Roll Noodle for fire crispy pork with rice
Ann Guay Tiew Kia Gai for more fire noodles and rice
Prachak Roasted Duck for the best ducking duck in the city
Trendy eats:
Babyccino for amazing variety of brunch options
Toby’s for trendy, LA style brunch
Featherstone for a vintage aesthetic
The Gardens for fancy food in, well, beautiful gardens
Err Rustic Thai for trendy Thai food
Vaso Tapas Bar for a party with some incredible Spanish food
Missing Burro for a lower key but fire Mexican restaurant
Tuba for fun vibes and crazy interior decor
Group Outings:
Aesop’s for a CRAZY party with some incredible Greek food
El Mercado for birthdays and European flavors
Zia Pasta for the best pasta with Gina (impartial to this place because it was on the street my housemates and I lived on)
And, of course, the Commons (both Thonglor and Saladaeng), with its trendy options and vibrant energy.
Expensive (but worth it) eats:
Jay Faai for world renowned Michelin starred street food (reserve WAY in advance)
Sirocco for insane views and to be in the scene of the Hangover
Rongros for modern twists on Thai food with River and Was Arun views
Nah Oh Bangkok for insanely entertaining and tastey food - inside a plane
