ParkRoyal Pickering Singapore
I had used this damn building as a precedent SO many times in architecture school, so I was super excited to finally experience what it was like staying IN the ParkRoyal Pickering. Here are my thoughts:
Location: B+
It’s not close to anything, but not far from anything either. 10-15 minute walks pretty much get you anywhere you need to be in Singapore.
Rooms: A-
They’ve got a funky and unique design, with sustainable elements each and every way you look. Its definitely on the smaller side, but they’ve created a pretty intelligent design that provides with enough space.
Dining: N/A
We didn’t dine at the hotel, but we walked through the buffet and dining area a couple times, and it looked quite opulent.
Amenities: A-
The infinity edge pool with cabana “islands” is the star of the show here, but the water was absolutely fucking FREEZING. I had to muster up some serious balls to actually get in and experience it, but after a minute I was done. Otherwise, there was a great gym, plenty of public spaces to lounge and have a drink, all of which is beautiful. Just cold ass water. Otherwise its an A.
Service: A
These guys were on it. Singapore in general has great service no matter where you go. Full A marks given when we were provided a breakfast bag on the go before our early morning transport to the airport.
Scene
Pretty much what you expect, it was mostly upper middle class Asian families and a few couples, with the age being more so on the younger side.
