Barcelona: Dance
Easily one of the best cities in the world to party, Barcelona is loaded with tons of world-renowned clubs that frequent some of the most famous DJ’s in the world. You’ll have a blast no matter where you go, but each club has its own vibe, so check out what I found out in my “research”.
Opium
Arguably the most globally recognized of the clubs in Barcelona, Opium knows how to put on a show. They also often host famous DJ’s-I got the chance to see Sam Feldt (who partied much harder than I expected). Get on the guest list (easy as googling it and registering on Facebook, or having hot girl friends), wear something nice (or you’ll be denied), and have a blast. There’s an outdoor area by the beach to chill as well, which is crucial as it gets quite hectic inside.
Shoko
While Opium may be slightly more popular, I slightly preferred Shoko. Slightly higher class, with generally better music, Shoko was always a blast. Celebrities were also spotted on several of my forays into Shoko, so that should say something as well. Located right next to Opium in the Olympic Village, you’re sure to have a night to remember (or not) at Shoko
Razzmatazz
This place is HUGE. Like mind-numbingly large for a club. Located in an old warehouse in a somewhat sketchy part of town, Razzmatazz is one of the top 100 clubs in the world for a reason. It’s got multiple floors with different genres, and PLENTY of space to provide a break from dancing. It’s a legendary spot that was popular when my parents partied in Barcelona, and definitely remains one of the most well known clubs in the city.
Pacha
Pacha is iconic, but it may be starting to lose its “wow” factor. With that said, its still a legendary club, and if you go on the right night (which is probably not the genre-mixed night) then it will surely be fun.
Catwalk
Catwalk tries its hardest, but when you’re up against Opium and Shoko, its hard to stand out. Granted, Catwalk does have the coolest outdoor area of the Olympic Village clubs, right under the fish and overlooking the chaos below.
W Hotel
The W throws some awesome parties in the summer, so make sure you look out for when those are. I saw Robin Schulz, Gorgon City, and a few others at the W and had an absolute blast. The rooftop bar turns into a small but entertaining club at night, but if you don’t want to be squeezed to the point where you spill your drink over a hot girl, you’ll need to buy a table as the table area takes up half the space.
Some of the other top clubs in the city include:
Sutton (one friend was here all the time)
Jamboree (another friend of mine was hereall the time)
Otto Zutz
La Terrazza (weird ass location and bitch bouncers, but interesting vibes with techno music)
Sala Apolo
