Zermatt

I love this town. It’s the most ideal example of what a winter ski town should be like. It isn’t too small, and it isn’t too large. Everything about Zermatt is just wonderful.

I’ll have a separate post dedicated to where to stay in Zermatt because that hotel is just next level.

Where to eat nothing but lamb: Schaferstube

Like literally, there is no other option. Lamb is all you got here, and there’s lots of it. And, truly, some of the best lamb I have ever had. Plus, the whole decor is super cute.

Where to buy a ring watch - and other cool stuff: Davis Boutique SA

Located smack in the middle of the city is this store which is basically all the coolest stuff you’ve ever seen. I wanted to buy everything in here, but alas, money. Definitely worth checking out though!

Where else to shop: Bahnhofstrasse

This is the Main Street of Zermatt, stretching from the train station to the mountains. You’ll find restaurants, bars, boutiques and luxury brands all along this road.

Where to have apres-ski with a view: Cervo Apres-Ski

Burgers, beers and cheese with an unobstructed view of the Matterhorn, a DJ and people dancing the afternoon away. That’s what you get here. It’s not going to be champagne spraying, jumping from table to table type vibes here, but its a classy, fun, picturesque party nonetheless.
