Paris, Yet Again
This sounds snooty, but my view on Paris at this point is not entirely one of excessive fondness. The architecture is divine, yet repetitive. The people are beautiful, yet rude. The food is delicious, yet heavy/expensive. But, at the end of the day, its Paris, and here’s how to thrive in the City of Love during winter.
Where to have legendary hot chocolate after Giraffe (or just in general): Carette
Somehow, we were lucky enough to get asked to skip the approximately 20-minute line, and were lead straight inside this opulent and regal cafe, home to truly the best hot chocolate I have ever had. It is absolutely worth a 20 minute wait.
And the rest of this blog is honestly more of the same of what I have written in the past. You have to walk around Le Marais and have a falafel from that place with the green entrance (its worth the wait), then you have to have Entre Cote, enjoy the views over Paris from Montmarte, shop at Galleries Lafayette (by the Opera), and stroll along the Champs Elysee.
What I will say though is to avoid the shit out of Christmas markets during the weekend. It felt like I was at Coachella and in a very not fun way. Packed to the brim and just chaotic, especially the one near the Louvre.
Anyway, that is all. Paris, I love you, but I also don’t.
