Bangkok: The best hotels

Alrighty, here we are. Milad’s list of the best places to stay in Bangkok. We’ll go through it category by category.

Best Budget: Ad Lib Bangkok

For around $80 USD/night, you will find this beautiful little gem of a hotel with stunning greenery, modern architecture, an infinity edge pool, gym, great service, wonderful restaurant, and a 5 minute walk from Nana and Central Embassy. Loved this place a lot.

Best Boutique: Riva Arun

This is also the best hotel if you’re staying in Bangkok and only want to explore its ancient side, as it is located in Old Town, right on the river. Beautiful interior design, a rooftop terrace, and solid, albeit tiny, rooms make this a perfect boutique hotel in the city.

Best Party: SO/ Bangkok

This is like a W but better and not as annoying. With parties at their infinity edge pool overlooking Lumphini Park and Bangkok, huge weekend brunches, fun and funky design elements, this is the best option for a party (if you have a but of extra cash to spend).

Best Business: Banyan Tree Bangkok

Located right in the business area of Bangkok with huge spaces, amenities galore, and the best rooftop bar in the city to impress any client, this is the place to stay.

Best Location: Anantara Siam Bangkok

I went back and forth a few times with what I thought was the best location and ultimately, I think my stay at the Anantara fit the bill. Its close enough to everything, walking distance to the BTS, and still feels secluded in its own, historic way.

Best Pool: The Okura Prestige Bangkok

Infinity edge pool overlooking the city here is fire. That’s all.

Best Luxury: Mandarin Oriental

Ah, the grand daddy of them all. It simply does not get better than the Mandarin anywhere in the world. Service is impeccable, food spectacular, rooms sublime, and location wonderful. If you are looking for pure, classic yet modern stay in Bangkok, you really can not beat the Mandarin.
