Banyan tree bangkok

Quick review here. We stayed for just a night. But this hotel was an awesome value. $70 for a room on the 56th floor overlooking Bangkok? Sign me up.

Location: B-

Its surrounded by some of Bangkok’s worst traffic and not that close to anything in particular, but also not far. Overall, a fine location, but there’s definitely better.

Rooms: B+

We were generously upgraded, and had a large room with a comfortable bed, large bathroom with bathtub, a desk area and lounge area. Plus, the views were next level.

Dining: A

We only ate at the rooftop bar, Vertigo. Vertigo is ranked as the #1 rooftop bar in the world. End of discussion.

Amenities: B-

The pool was nice, but smaller than I would have expected. Same goes for the gym, although it did have everything we needed. There’s a ton of restaurants, rooftop gardens and lounging areas to go around though. And the spa is supposedly one of the best in Bangkok, but we didn’t try it for ourselves.

Service: A-

These guys were on top of their shit. Plus, they gave us an upgrade. Hard not to give an A. Almost a clean A, but not far off at all.

Scene

Kind of typical Thai scene. Mostly older people though. Some families. Overall, a good vibe though. Slightly pretentious, but that’s to be expected from this high-end brand at a low cost.
